Editorial Policy — Centaur Spa Journal

This policy explains how pages on Centaur Spa Journal are made and when they change. It applies to hubs, future guides, and trust pages. It does not apply to admin tools or account screens.

Purpose

The journal publishes planning notes for pool and spa design, automatic covers, commercial aquatics, safety, equipment, energy, and maintenance. Pages should help a reader write a clearer brief. They should not impersonate a building official, a stamped engineer, or a manufacturer.

How a hub is thickened

We add one specification increment at a time: a new question-form section, a clearer matrix row, or a source link that a human can check. We do not date-bump a thin page to look fresh. When two drafts share one intent, we keep the earlier URL and merge.

Drafting

• Pages lead with a direct answer, then limits, then a matrix or checklist.
• AI may assist outlines and language.
• Technical numbers, standard editions, and conclusions need a human check before they stay published.
• We do not invent project counts, test data, certifications, or client lists.

Sources

• Prefer primary publishers: ASTM, PHTA, ICC, and the authority having jurisdiction.
• Cite an edition only when it has been checked. If the year is unknown, say so and link the publisher.
• Manufacturer manuals control installation. This site does not replace them.
• Sister supplier sites are not sources for safety or code claims.

What we will not publish

• Hotel, lodging, or day-spa schema, or the former Quebrada Lane phone number as current contact
• A universal energy-savings percentage without listed assumptions
• How-to markup that pretends a cover installation is a consumer recipe
• Sitewide product links. Contextual citations, when they exist, must leave the article standing if the link is removed

Corrections

If a page states a standard number, a dimension rule, or a savings claim that is wrong, it should be corrected in place and the “Last updated” date should move. We do not hide the change behind a new URL unless two intents have been merged.

Bylines

Unsigned hubs are journal voice. Named reviewers will appear on Authors when they agree to be identified. Safety and barrier pages should not stay unsigned longer than necessary.

Domain history

This domain once pointed to a health resort in Arroyo Grande, California. That business is not this publication. Historical lodging URLs are redirected to the history page, not to the homepage in bulk.
